Onion price goes up by Tk 10 per kg

Staff Reporter :The onion price has increased by Tk 10 per kg at weekend in the city’s kitchen markets. The retailers blamed short supply of onion in the whole markets.But the consumers disagreed with the theory of short supply and blamed the whole salers for storing ahead of Ramadan which contributed to hike.Local onion was selling at Tk 40 per kg while imported Indian varieties at Tk 35, which was Tk 30 and Tk 25 respectively last week.Potato price has...
