Students continue agitation demanding change of exam routine at B M College

Students of Barishal Government Brojo Mohun College on Tuesday noon have been continuing agitation rally and procession blocking road crossing in front of the campus demanded deferring the routine of honours examinations under Bangladesh National University till March 15.
Due this agitation programme, traffic jam was created in the area and later college authourity including principal Shafiqur Rahman Shikdar, vice-principal Dr. Golam Kibria, Prof. Al Amin Sarwar, secretary teachers council of the college, assuring the students about solving the problem normalized the situation.
Almas Hossain, one of the examinees of fourth year honours, said in the announced examination routine of BNU fourth year honours examination of 2015-16 session would be started from February 27.
In the announced routine historical March 7 also fixed as date of examination. In the examination routine there was no scope for performing programmes of Mujib Barsho and so demanded change of examination schedules.
Besides some of the examinees have to participate in up-gradation examination on February 26 and on next day have to attend on regular examination, which would be impossible for them, said Anwara Begum, another examinee.
After their agitation programmes of last few days, BNU has been shifted date of examination only for two days from February 27 to 29.
But due to participation in movement they already lost 3 / 4 days for preparation of examination.
So they called BNU authourity to shift their examination routine after March 15 for preparing of examination properly, they added.
Prof. Al-Amin Sarwar, secretary of B M College teachers council, said the demand of the students were logical and so they informed the issue to BNU authourty with hope of getting positive result.
