The representatives of the students of school and colleges of the city called on Police commissioner and Additional Police commissioner Md.Mahbubur Rahman and Mr.Kusum Dewan respectively for their demand of Safe Road (Nirapad Sarak) .
The student leaders discussed the matters of overall traffic management and law and order in the city . The topics of their discussions were 1) installing CCTV camera in important road crossing & in front of educational institutions 2) prohibition of access of trucks, covered vans in the city areas from 6 am to 10 pm 3) erection of signboard with slogan of School College in front of schools colleges and signboard of bus stoppage 4) deploy of traffic police at closing time of schools 5) additional traffic police for better traffic management in city 6) constitute volunteers teams in each school and colleges and continuation of vehicle checking after end of Traffic Week.
