Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Saturday urged the students to attain skills in information technology (IT) to sustain in the global competition and achieve the goal of 21st century.
“Students should be more skilled in information technology to compete globally, achieve the challenge of 21st century and get good positions,” she said.
The Speaker was addressing as the chief guest at a reunion programme of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College on its premises at city’s New Baily Road organised by Viqarunnisa Alumni Association, said a press release.
Urging all to come forward to reduce gender inequality the Speaker said, “Women empowerment and gender parity would be ensured if everyone comes forward to eradicate gender disparity through higher education and financial solvency of women,” she said.
Civil Aviation Minister and governing body chief of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Rashed Khan Menon MP, Principal Sufia Khatun, the association president Professor Bushra Hasina Chowdhury also spoke.
