Police have arrested on early Friday a college student named Ashraful Islam (19) for allegedly sexually harassing a five-year-old children showing him flying a kite at Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj.
Victim’s mother filed a case against Ashraful at Kuliarchar Police station on Thursday.
According to FIR, Ashraful called the child to his house to show him how to fly a kite. At this time he sexually abused the child.
Ashraful released the child when the child started shouting. When the child goes home and starts crying, the mother wants to know what happened. The child later told the story.
When the matter was reported to the local Faridpur Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Shah Alam and other dignitaries of the area, they advised the child’s father to go to the police station and lodge a complaint.
In this regard, Faridpur Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Shah Alam said that when the child’s father went to him on Thursday , he advised him to lodge a complaint with the police.
Ashraful’s father accused in this regard. Shahidullah said, “My son has been framed on false charges due to land dispute.”
