Police recovered the hanging body of a madrasa student from a Qawmi madrasa in Oxygen area under Bayazid thana in the early Thursday. The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 12.
Ataur Rahman Khandaker, Officer-in-Charge of Bayazid Police Station, said on information, a team of police recovered the body from the Abu Bakkar Siddiq Al Islamia Madrasa around 12 am.
Angered by the incident, locals put the madrasa
under lock and key. They alleged that the madrasa authorities are involved in various illegal activities. The OC said that they are investigating the incident.
