The government is planning to form student council at secondary level to develop leadership quality of students aiming to make them as perfect citizens to contribute better to the nation building activities.
“Like primary level, we are going to form student council very soon to create opportunities of democratic practice through various activities,” Education Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan told a meeting of Secondary Quality and Access Enhancement Project at the LGED auditorium here.
Student councils have been formed at 50,000 primary schools, Nazrul said adding, “We are taking experiences of the primary level student council to establish student councils at secondary level.”
