Former national cricket team head coach Stuart Law has become the technical advisor of the Bangladesh Under 19 Team and will work with the youth side for the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup to be hosted by Bangladesh in January-February 2016. Law has agreed a term with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) that will keep him with the Under 19 side for a period of 16 weeks including until the end of the team’s U-19 CWC campaign. He is expected to arrive in Bangladesh later this month, said a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) press release. BCB chief executive officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said: “The Under-19 World Cup is a very important stepping stone for the next generation of Bangladesh cricketers. Our Under-19 side has had some excellent results in recent times and have defeated reigning champions South Africa 6-1 at home and 5-2 in away series. As the home side there will be a lot of expectation on them and Stuart’s understanding of youth team management and first-hand knowledge of the conditions will significantly help the preparation.”
