Recent incidents of rape, kidnapping and murder of women and children have increased due to concerns in the society. Women and children are being victimized due to violence. In some way it is not possible to be dragged by the mad horses. The rapist is not just stopped by rape. Injury physically abused before raping the victim. According to a statistic, 12 thousand 85 children have been killed in the last four years. In 2011, there were 21,220 cases of violence against women and children. Which is more than the previous year? It is undoubtedly terrifying.
According to the information published in the daily independent, “According to the World Health Organization child maltreatment, sometimes referred to as child abuse and neglect, includes all forms of physical and emotional ill-treatment, sexual abuse, neglect, and exploitation that result in actual or potential harm to the child’s health, development or dignity. A study conducted by members from several Baltic and Eastern European countries, together with specialists from the United States, examined the causes of child abuse in the countries of Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia and Moldova. In these countries, 33 per cent, 42 per cent, 18 per cent and 43 per cent of children respectively reported at least one type of child abuse.
In Bangladesh a large number of children are deprived of their basic human rights due to unacceptable health, nutrition and education as well as social conditions. Apart from this, children are suffering physical and mental violence at homes, educational institutions, work places and even at public places. The nature and level of violence against children is increasing little by little. Therefore, children are not safe anywhere even though government and non-government organizations are trying to ensure the rights of the children.
According to child rights group Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Forum (BSAF) at least 154 children were killed in the South Asian country between January and June, this year. In 2014, 292 children were murdered while the number was 180 in 2013. The BSAF said that in Bangladesh at least 191 children were killed till this July, 350 in 2014, 218 in 2013 and 209 in 2012. We are used to seeing thousands of such events. The news of rape and murder is open when the TV channel. The news of the killing of women and children after the rape was published in the pages of the newspaper. But why this rape? Many people say that there is no modest dress and rape rate has increased.
The main event is that we are touching information technology, sophisticated. Today the whole world is in our hands we have almost read the whole time around in the house. The eyes are all on the screen of the mobile, tab and the PC. All pornography in full memory. Websites have free roaming. What I see in the devices is also compunction of the heart. And those sites also show distorted brain brutality. As a result, we forget what morality is. What is human and inhuman? As a result, these activities are devastating in the society. No respect for adults not even children, and affection for the past. Finally, we are people, we are humans we are social organisms. So we live in society together. The great lord has given special weakness to the companions of love-love and opposite sex within all creatures. If we take any action outside the religious and social norms to satisfy that particular weakness, then it is just as bad as it is, and social civilization has been transformed into asbestos. In the minds of every human being a giant animal resides in the house. That is to say that the giant creates a healthy life by suppressing that monster, it is the unique human.
Although this is true, there is no lesson for moral education in the current school-level education program of our country. There were a lot of neutrals in our childhood book of child education. Many of today’s mottos affect our life more and more. But there is no scope for moral education from pre-primary education to school education, even at higher secondary level. In the higher education, only a philosophy called ‘Ethics’ is taught in a course. However, like some other countries of the world, some aspects of business ethics including business ethics have started to be included at the university level. This initiative is definitely good. However, if the lesson was found in the education of children and adolescents, the education would have been more effective.
If we can afford a new generation from such a good work, good thinking from our childhood, our future may change in Bangladesh. In order to change the nature of the impoverished society that has been caught in the grip of corruption like us, the younger members of this society will be sown in the heart of the innocent, well-wisher and saintly seeds. In all cases, higher education needs to be included in the moral education. Because, if there is no adequate education of morality with the teachings that are taught in the profession, people can not apply the acquired science to the proper welfare in professional or daily life. Therefore, some principles in the pre-primary level, some principles from the first class, on the principle of truthfulness, sympathy, non-communalism, forgiveness, duties towards parents, duties towards the country, humanity, responsibility towards creativity, justice, Teaching the students will undoubtedly influence their lives.
In order to do any kind of work, it is necessary to know the nature, nature of the work and the importance of the work, as well as to moral conduct, it is necessary to know what kind of work is morally and what kind of work is immoral. In fact, there is intense relation between thoughts, actions and beliefs of people with knowledge. The world-famous Greek philosopher Gnanavu Socrates believed that ‘knowledge is good’. He tries to convince his disciples that ignorance is the root cause of all evil or evil actions. So it is important for everyone to seek the truth or to get the right knowledge. A person who is just wise can not do wrong. We may think that those who do wrong, knowingly do wrong many times. But Socrates’ explanation is different. He thinks that those who do wrong seem to be knowledgeable in some way related to the matter, but in reality they are not fully aware of the end-effect or the ultimate effect of his life. Socrates tries to convince everyone that wrongdoing does not bring good results in a person’s life. In some way, he suffered evil for the wrongdoing. If our benevolent child is meant to say that good deeds make life beautiful, peaceful and evil deeds make the life thorny, and then they will be encouraged in good work and try to refrain from doing evil. If this process becomes a habit from someone’s childhood, then it will be part of his character. To say goodbye, Aristotle meant to do good work habits and tendencies. It is normal to have a good effect on the good work habits and tendency from the childhood in the whole life. The society, the state, was formed with the need for good relation with people. But in the current world situation, the crisis in human relations is going on, the unwanted study of the conflict is going on, in which pre-social status is likely to come back. People are confused today due to lack of proper education. People turn away from some of the practices that awaken humanity. That’s why people’s life has become unpopular today, worthless. The vast resources of science-technology development make it difficult for many people to make life better and better. In this context, there is no substitute for moral practice. Proper ethics can be used to determine the advancement of science for the proper use of humanitarianism.
No matter how much abundance of wealth there is in life, without proper life, human life can not be beautiful and worthwhile. Likewise, the kind of mechanical forces that emerge around the world, peace and prosperity can not be achieved without proper policy or guidance. There is no doubt that sustainable economics, poverty alleviation is a help in peace.
But if peace is not integrated with the economy, then peace and progress will not be impossible. Providing adequate lessons for policy-making education from the school level, our new generation will get the chance to be motivated and accustomed to the practice of virtue. And in this way, our ideological revolution can lead to a moral diminished society. The revolution that can lead people to a better life. To awaken humanity within human, there is no alternative to moral education.
