Leaders of the Money Changers Association of Bangladesh (MCAB) has demanded of the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to stop unauthorized money exchange business in the capital and elsewhere across the country, said a press release today.
“We demand for the intervention of Bangladesh Bank and administration to stop unauthorized money exchangers,” Mohammad Mostafa Khan, president of MCAB raised the demand while speaking at a special general meeting of the association at a city restaurant last night.
As many as the owners of 65 money changers attended the meeting presided over by Asadur Rahman.
MCAB Vice President Kabir Hossain and Organizing Secretary MH Jaman and member Abul Hossain Santu, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
The meeting was followed by a cultural function.
