A stone worker was killed in Jaflong under Goinghat Upazila in Sylhet District after taking stone illegally on Saturday
. The deceased was identified as Babul Khan (26) Son of Asu Khan of Maughati union of Netrokuna. Another worker was injured in incident. Police arrested the owner of the hole.
According to local sources, this incident happened near the London Bazar Mosque of Gowainghat Upazila.
OC of Gowainghat Police station confirmed incident and said the workers were pressed for illegally lifting stones. He said the stone worker’s dead body was sent to Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy. He said another worker was injured in the incident.
