Robbers looted valuables worth Tk3.00 lakh from a stone crushing mill at North Kalabari in Companyganj upazila on Thursday night.
Local people said a gang of armed robbers, numbering 7-8 swooped on Golap Stone Crusher, around 8.00pm and kept its manager and five others hostage at gunpoint.
Later the robbers looted Tk3.00 lakh and four mobile phone sets from the mill.On information, Habibur Rahman, owner of the mill and resident of Rajnagar village, visited the spot and informed police.
Delwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Companyganj Police Station, said they are investigating the incident.
