Trading on the country’s two bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Thursday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, shed over 7.25 points or 1.29 per cent to 4678.51 after the first one and half hour of trade at 12:03pm.
Trade deals stood at 51150 with volume of transactions at Tk 2314.04 million.
Of the issues traded, 109 advanced, 123 declined and 56 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 210.95 million having changed hands.
Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8680.61 by dropping over 7.76 points at about 12:00pm.
