Stock markets witnessed flat on Tuesday when daily transactions declined on lower demand.
The day’s trade value at DSE declined to Taka 945.86 crore from Monday’s Taka 1,009.55 crore and the daily trade fell to 25.45 crore shares from 27.64 crore of the previous session.
The broader DSEX index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the day with 20.30 points up at 5,924.53. The Shariah DSES also followed the same trend with 2.17 points down at 1,331.62. But, the blue-chip DS30 closed the day with 0.48 points down at 2,046.29.
At the DSE, prices of 151 securities out of the day’s 347 closed higher against 159 losing issues.
