BSS, Dhaka :
Active trading of large-cap shares drove the recovery of Dhaka stocks, which fell into the red zone on Monday on profit- booking selling and cautious transactions.
The large-cap scrips including MJL Bangladesh, Beximco Limited, ACI Pharmaceuticals, Lafarge Surma Cement, Grameen Phone, Squire Pharmaceuticals, Apollo Isphat, Titas Gas and KPPL were traded voluminously, driving all the three indices upward.
DSEX – the major price index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) – recovered by 22.22 points at Tuesday’s close to ease up at 4576.37. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES finished higher at 1733.90 and 1070.26 respectively with slight gains over their previous closing positions.
