All the price indices at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rebounded Wednesday, recovering the fall that the bourse saw in the past session.
The boarder DSEX of DSE recovered by 4.14 points to finish the day in green at 4413.85, with the blue-chip DS30 and the Shariah DSES following it upwards to 1670.52 and 1067.63 accordingly.
The major CSCX index of Chittagong Stock Exchange DSE) (CSE), however, fell on Wednesday to close at 8248.59.
Most of the traded issues on DSE and CSE incurred loss. Out of the traded 316 securities, 102 gained, 160 incurred loss and 54 remained static. On CSE, 86 scrips closed higher against 120 losing securities when 37 remained static.
Despite the price fall in the majority of the issues traded, the price indices at DSE closed flat in green due to higher activities around large-cap securities.
The higher activities drove the daily trade value at DSE to Taka 427.66 crore from Tuesday’s Taka 317.78 crore while the volume was up to 12.66 crore shares over previous day’s 9.95 crore shares.
