Stocks perform mixed on higher transactions

Stocks finished the week flat on Thursday with falling trends of all major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges despite higher transactions.
The broader DSEX of the DSE finished the week with 3.37 points down at 5,358.91.
The blue-chip DS30 also followed the same trend with 19.68 points down at 1,906.78. But the Shariah DSES closed the week up with 6.06 points up at 1,267.38 respectively.
Out of the 343 issues traded on DSE, 171 gained against 145 losing issues. The average trade value at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) was Taka 970 crore and the average trade volume was 24.77 crore share.
The top five gainers of the week were Peninsula, Legacy Foot, ANWARGALV, DSSL and CONFIDCEM. The major losing issues of the week were BD Auto Cars, Libra Infusion, AMCL, BPML and Padma Life.
The top five turnover leaders were BPML, BBS Cables, RSRM Steel, UPGDCL and Singer BD.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the week down, with its major CASPI index ending 8.9 points lower at 16,513.74.
