Stocks witnessed flat on Sunday with falling trend of most of the major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges despite higher transactions.
The day’s trade value at DSE increased to Taka 818.40 crore from Thursday’s Taka 703.93 crore and the daily trade also rose to 25.09 crore share from 19.65 crore share of the previous session. The broader DSEX of the DSE closed the day with 0.18 points up at 5,407.19. But, the blue-chip DS30 and the Shariah DSES closed the day with 0.63 point down at 1,892.71 and with 9.88 points down at 1,235.98 respectively.
At DSE, out of the day’s 337 securities, prices of 95 securities closed higher against 209 losing issues.
