Stock markets witnessed flat on Monday when daily transactions declined on lower demand.
The trade value at DSE decreased to Taka 402.05 crore from the previous session’s Taka 425.50 crore and the trade volume also fell to 8.38 crore from 9.47 crore shares of Sunday’s trading.
The broader index DSEX of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) finished the session of the week with 3.26 points down at 5,313.71. But, the Shariah DSES and the blue-chip DS30 also closed the day with 6.84 points up at 1,235.03 and with 7.55 points down at 1,973.01.
Out of the 336 issues traded on DSE, 100 gained against 184 losing issues.
The five major gaining companies were BD Auto Cars, ANWARGALV, Eastern Lubricant, GQ Ball Pen and JMISMDL. The five major losing companies were SEMLLECMF, Queen South, Legacy Foot, AIL and PLFSL.
