Stocks down further as major sectors dip

Stocks finished on Tuesday down trend further as major sectors closing the session with falling trend at both the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock exchanges.
The broader DSEX index of DSE finished the session 1.44 points down at 4567.69. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES followed it by 2.61 points down at 1783.05 and 2.20 points down at 1118.93.
Similarly, the prime CASPI index at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was 1.07 points down at 14,062.61.
The transaction at DSE was 10.21 core shares and total value of the share was Taka 454.04 crore.
At DSE, out of the day’s 325 traded issues, price of 134 securities closed higher against 132 losing issues. At CSE, issues traded 237 while 97 closed higher against 96 closed lower.
The major gaining issues were Ambee Pharmaceuticals, Renwick Ja, Kohinoor Chemical, Prime Tex and ETL. The major losing issues were Prime Life Insurance, Exim 1st Mutual Fund, Gemini Sea Food, Modern Dye and IFIL 1st Mutual Fund.
Delta Brac Housing (DBH) topped the turnover leaders followed by Titas Gas, MJL BD, BSRM Steel and Square Pharma.
