Stocks closed the week on Thursday upward with rising trend of all major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges on higher transactions.
The daily average trade value at DSE was 54.7 percent up at Taka 936.99 crore and the trade volume was 37.9 percent up at 24.38 crore shares.
The broader DSEX of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the week with 88.53 points up at 6,282.09. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES also closed the week with 35.54 points up at 2,279.65 and with 34.16 points up at 1,375.44.
Out of the 336 traded securities, 142 closed higher against 176 losing issues when 18 remained unchanged.
During the week, the top five gainers were SAVAREFR, Dulamia Cotton, Imam Button, Jute Spinning and Megcon Milk.
