Stocks finished the week down on Thursday with falling trend of all major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges as the daily transactions declined amid volatility in large-cap securities.
The broader DSEX of the DSE finished the week with 13.62 points down at 5,429.69. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES also followed the same trend with 10.51 points down at 2,014.88 and with 17.89 points down at 1,259.70 respectively.
Out of the 343 issues traded at the DSE today, 103 issues gained against 214 losing issues. During the week, the daily average trade value increased by 20.80 percent to Taka 471.58 crore and the average trade volume rose by 9.4 percent to 11.26 crore shares.
The top five gainers of the week were Legacy Footwear, Berger Paints, Intraco Refueling Station, Advent Pharma and Miracle Industries.
