Stocks finished the week down on Thursday with falling trend of all major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges as the daily transactions declined amid volatility in large-cap securities.
The broader DSEX of the DSE finished the week with 143.91 points down at 5,443.31. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES also followed the same trend with 48.15 points down at 2,025.39 and with 29.29 points down at 1,277.60 respectively.
Out of the 342 issues traded at DSE today, 59 issues gained against 267 losing issues. During the week, the daily average trade value declined by 25.40 percent to Taka 390.51 crore and the average trade volume fell by 28.80 percent to 10.29 crore shares when majority of the traded issues closed up.
