Key share price indices of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed slight gain on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 8.16 points or 0.17 percent to close at 4768.30 on the day. Of the 315 issues traded, 139 gained, 143 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 457.54 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday as against Tk 448.29 crore on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Deshbandhu Polymer, Aramit, Rupali Life Insurance, Usmania Glass, Popular Life Insurance, ACI Formulations, Bangladesh Lamps, Beach Hatchery, Intech Limited and BSRM Limited.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were BSRM Limited, Aman Feed, Lafarge Surma Cement, ACI and Al-Haj Textile.
Top five losers at the premier bourse were Exim Bank 1st Mutual Fund, Aman Feed, Monno Ceramic, Standard Ceramic and Anwar Galvanizing.
The CSE key index, CASPI gained 0.23 points to reach 14574.52 at close on Sunday. Of the 251 issues traded, 111 advanced, 116 suffered loss and 24 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the CSE was Tk 30.20 crore on the day.
