Steps taken to face crisis of seeds, fertilizers : Khasru

State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP said here that the present government is a farmers-friendly government and it has already taken many steps for improving the living condition of the farmers side by side of developing the agriculture sector of the country at the directives of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The farmers do not face any crisis of seeds , fertilizers and other agricultural equipments, they get fair price of their crops and socio-economic condition of the farmers is improved when Awami League (AL) comes to power” he said lamenting that number of 18 farmers were shot dead by the police across the country during BNP regime in 1995 when they demanded for ensuring proper supply of fertilizers.
Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru was speaking as chief guest at a discussion meeting was held here at Satpai area in Netrakona district town on Thursday marking the Krishok Andolon Dibos under the auspices of Netrakona District Krishak League.
Chaired by president of Krishak League Netrakona District Unit Kashob Ranjan Sarker, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Habiba Rahman Khan Shafali MP, former MP and Vice President of Krishak League Central Committee Chabi Biswas, Mayor of Netrakona Pourashava Nazrul Islam Khan and local leaders of AL including Mazharul Islam and Gazi Muzammel Hussain Tuku.
