Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said initiatives will be taken to resolve the land acquisition complications of the stuck bus-terminal project.
The Mayor said these things while visiting the proposed site for the bus terminal yesterday.
It is known that CCC has taken a project for the construction of terminal at Kulgaon for Tk1000.30 crores. The project, which was approved on October 11, 2018, is stuck due to land acquisition complications.
8.10 acres of land is required for the project. CCC has already deposited the money in the land acquisition sector to Chittagong District Commissioner. But till now lands could not acquired.
In this regard, the chief engineer of CCC Rafiqul Islam told the media that the locals told the mayor that the land category has changed.
Even if there is null land, it has been classified as doba. They will get less compensation. The mayor spoke to the land minister and promised to resolve the issue.
