The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have introduced a programme ‘Graduate Promotion and Skill Development’ to provide some training activities aiming to make the graduates more efficient, skilled and employable.
To secure positions of its graduates in the national and international competitive market and to produce adequate skilled human resources to contribute in achieving sustainable development goals, the initiatives were taken on Thursday at a syndicate meeting, chaired by Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman.
The syndicate body finalized the decision following the Dean’s committee’s recommendation and Academic Council’s approval, said a press release.
The programme featured different kinds of training activities which include national and international language teaching and offering special training on applicable knowledge, corporate etiquette and manners, use of technology and presentation.
Under this ‘Graduate Promotion and Skill Development’ programme, the university will sign Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and exchange agreements with various universities, institutes, departments or industrial establishments of the country and abroad for inter-relationship and inter-cooperation.
