City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said step motherly behavior towards Chittagong by the bureaucracy is a long standing matter and hence different complications arising in implementing the approved projects in this zone. He disclosed it while addressing the views exchanging meeting at Chittagong Medical ccollege Hospital on Thursday as chief guest, a CCC release said yesterday.
City Mayor in the meet said according to our high population , the numbers of patients are also high , as a result there are huge pressure on public sector hospitals. City Mayor in his brief address said govt time to time adopts different projects for Chittagong but unfortunately bureaucratic complications arise when goes for implementation . As such procrastinations arise in implementing these projects, he added. He further said people of Chittagong wants immediate mitigation of these step motherly behaviours towards Chittagong. Local legislator of Ctg-9 constituency Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu also spoke in it. BMA, Chittagong chapter President Dr. Mujibul Hoque Khan presided over it duly conducted by Dr. Biswajit Dutta. Among others, Principal of CMC Prof. Dr. Selim Jahangir, Director of the CMC Hospital Brigadier General Shahidul Gani spoke on the occasion, a CMCH sources said. The speakers in the meet urge the concerned authorities to turn the CMC into medical university and at the same time sought intervention of the concerned agencies for acquisition of lands for the proposed university .The meet also called for expansion of hospitalbuilding, construction of more staff quarters, hostels for students, and deployment of new medical equipments and repair of the existing mechineries of the hospital , sources said.
