A 21-memebr of steering committee has been formed for the Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games making State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, as adviser of the committee.
The decision has been taken at the Bangladesh Olympic Association’s (BOA) executive committee’s meeting was held on Monday at Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment with BOA president and Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, SBP, OSP, NDU,PSC, PHD in the chair.
BOA president and Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and BOA Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza have been made as executive chairman, vice chairman respectively in the steering committee. BOA Deputy Secretary General Ashikur Rahman Miku has been made as member secretary in the committee.
The Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) will host the Sheikh Kamal 2nd Youth Games later this year or early next year.
The BOA president distributed cash award to the silver and bronze medal winners of the archery team in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games and the men’s team who advanced to the quarter finals in table tennis in the 22nd Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
