A security worker of Bangladesh Steel Re-rolling Mills Limited (BSRM) was killed as a lorry ran over him in front of the factory in Akbarshah area on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam, 32, hailed from Jamalpur district.
Police said Aminul was critically injured as a goods-laden lorry of BSRM ran over him while he was performing his duties in front of the factory in city’s Akbarshah area on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 9.30 pm on Sunday.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Pankaj Barua of CMCH police outpost.
