President Md. Abdul Hamid has called upon the government along with private the entrepreneurs to come forward to face the challenges and utilize the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
“We need to create skilled human resources in the technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,”
President Hamid told at a function after laying foundation stone of the “Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center” at local Council Auditorium on Wednesday.
State Minister for Information and Communication technology Division Joyaned Ahamed Polak MP presided over the meeting.
Rejowan Ahmed Tofiq MP and Dr. Syeda Zakia Noon Lipi MP were attended as special guests.
It was addressed among others by Bangladesh Hi -Teck Park Authority Managing Director (Secretary) Bikorno Kumar Ghos and Managing Director in Bangladesh Diesel Plant limited Managing Director (MD) Brigadier General Rafiqul Islam.
President Hamid said that education and works are inextricably linked and students will be able to create employment opp ort unities for themselves as well as others with easy training from this center.
Abdul Hamid said 65 percent youth population of the country needs to be empowered through training so that they can use the opportunity to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
Noting that the misuse and fraud of IT has increased many challenges and Information technologists need to be vigilant in tackling these challenges.
President also said importing IT properties is not enough for development, but it is important to ensure its sustainable use as digital economy has developed in the country due to implementation of Digital Bangladesh.
