State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Biren Sikder MP expressed deep shock at the death of Abdur Razzak Sona Miah, the former national hockey player, a press release said.
In a condolence message the State minister said the country’s sports area face irreparable loss at the death of Sona Miah. He conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
In another message, deputy minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy MP also conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed salvation for the departed soul.
Sona Mia died on Sunday last at his Lalbagh’s residence in the city.
