Star Trek began filming Thursday, June 25, under the working title Washington, reported Ace Showbiz.
Stars, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana shared some images of the filming scene on Instagram to tease their fans. Mr. Quinto uploaded a photo of his character’s iconic hair style with the caption: “Someone is preparing to emerge.” The actor also posted a close-up of his eyebrows, particularly trimmed to fit his role.
Meanwhile, Saldana shared a picture of herself reading a magazine in a makeup chair. “Trailer time #startrek,” she captioned it. She also shared a humorous dubsmash video which she tagged, “#boredatwork.”
Although production is underway, very little is has been confirmed as even the title of the film remains unannounced.
In April, rumours surfaced that the movie would be called, Star Trek Beyond. Details of the plot remain largely under wraps, but the story is said to involve the Enterprise going on a five-year mission.
