The three-day ‘Star Ceramic & RAK Paint Cup Golf Tournament- 2017’ concluded through a colourful prize distribution ceremony held at Rangpur Golf Club in Rangpur Cantonment here Saturday night.
More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament sponsored by the Star Ceramic and RAK Paint Group, a press release said.
Rangpur Area Commander and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division Major General Md Masud Razzaque attended the concluding ceremony as the chief guest.
In the Male Group, golfer Brigadier General Shefaul Kabir secured the first position while golfer Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah won the best gross award.
Golfer Lieutenant Colonel Mamun became the runner up while golfer Dr Zabed Akhter won the second best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Mahbub Sarwar became the second runner up while golfer Major Ashraf won the third best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Shamim secured the maxim par award while golfer Major Reza won award for making the longest drive. Golfer Major General Md Masud Razzaque won the nearest to pin award.
In Female Group, golfer Nasrine Haque Boby became the winner while golfer Subah won the best gross award.
Sadat secured the first position while Ridin became the runner up in Junior Group.
Irene secured the first position while Saba became the runner up in the Sub-junior Group.
Major General Masud Razzaque, who is also President of Rangpur Golf Club, distributed awards among the winners in the concluding ceremony.
Managing Director of RAK Paint Kamar Uz Zaman, Managing Director of Star Ceramic Syed Ali Abdullah Zami, officials of RAK Paint and Star Ceramic Group, military officials and participating golfers attended the function.
