The meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the Eleventh Jatiya Sangsad was held at the Cabinet Room of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad under the chairmanship of M Rustam Ali Faraji.
Committee members Abul Kalam Azad, M Abdus Shahid, M Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Zahirul Haque Bhuiyan Mohan, Manzur Hossain, Ahsanul Islam (Titu), Mustafa Lutfullah and Begum Wasika Ayesha Khan participated in the meeting held on the ninth instant.
The decision of the 71st and 72nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts was confirmed at the meeting, said a press release.
The audit reports for the financial year 2014-2015 to 2015-2016 and section one to nine of audit objections of 2016-2017 of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges were discussed in the meeting, reports BSS.
The meeting recommended taking necessary action after reviewing and analyzing the audit objections raised in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary, Road Transport and Highways Division, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, senior officials of Roads and Highways, Auditor General and the regulatory department and concerned senior officials of the Secretariat of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad.
