StandChartd Bank celebrates 20 years of Credit Card in Bangladesh

Standard Chartered Bank, the leading international bank in Bangladesh is celebrating 20 Years of credit cards in Bangladesh.
Recently they held a grand gala event held at The Westin, Dhaka. Standard Chartered Bank was the first bank in Bangladesh to launch credit cards in 1996. Throughout this long journey, the bank has introduced many “firsts” linked to credit card such as; Reward Points (loyalty program), Card Cheque, Auto Billspay, InstaBuys, SMS Banking and e-Statements. The bank also introduced the first global credit card back in 2007 issued against Travel Quota.
To celebrate this grand occasion, the bank recently held a gala event where they gave away complimentary Liverpool match packages to 6 high vintage and frequent users of Standard Chartered credit cards since 1996. The package includes Business Class air fare tickets on Dhaka – London – Dhaka route, 2 nights’ accommodation at Liverpool city and free match tickets to watch Liverpool Football Club play at their home stadium Anfield.
