Industries Secretary Muhammad Abdullah on Monday said a Standard Authority will be formed in the country and it will start its operation by 2019 in a bid to follow unique international standard in all the laboratories, testing and certification institutions of the country.
“This Standard Authority will start its operations by 2019. As a result, the position of Bangladesh will be further strengthened in international trade,” said the Secretary.
He said this while inaugurating the three-day “18th Understanding Training Course on ISO/IEC 17025:2005” held at the conference room of the Ministry of Industries organized by Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB), said a handout.
Chaired by Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) Director General M Monwarul Islam, Industries Ministry additional secretary M Enamul Haque and two other trainees spoke on the occasion.
