Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh arranged first ever partners in Progress: Standard Chartered Bangladesh Trade Awards 2017 ceremony at a hotel in the city on the 21st April, 2018 on Saturday.
The Bank gave these awards to the clients who had the highest contribution to the trade volume handled by the Bank in 2017. This was a gesture of expressing gratitude to the clients for their business.
This was followed by the speech of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Bangladesh, Naser Ezaz Bijoy. He expressed that the clients and the Bank were “Partners in Progress” and the clients’ contribution had led to the Bank’s on-going success. He thanked all the clients for choosing Standard Chartered Bank as their trade partners. Next, the CEO introduced the new Heads of different teams within the Bank. He introduced the new Head of Global Banking, Mohammad Enamul Huque, the new Head of Commercial Banking, Alamgir Morshed and the new Head of Financial Markets, Mr. Muhit Rahman.
 The award presentation started after the CEO’s speech. Awards were handed out to five clients in Textile & Garments sector and five clients in the Non- Textiles & Garments sector. The Bank also honoured three Gold winners of the last National Export Trophy. The winners in the Textile and Garments segment were: Epic Group, YKK Bangladesh PTE Ltd, Youngone Group, Ha-Meem Group and Square Group. The winners in the non-Textile and Garments category were: Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, TK Group of Industries, Akij Group, City Group and Meghna Group of Industries. The Bank also felicitated Noman Group, Pacific Jeans Group and Pran-RFL Group for winning the “Gold” National Export Trophy in different categories. Sponsors and other top level officials of each of the winning groups collected the awards.
