Stan-Chart recognized ‘Best CSR Bank’ in BD

Standard Chartered has been internationally recognized as the “Best CSR Bank” by Global Brands Magazine, at an award ceremony held recently in Macau, China.
Standard Chartered Bangladesh was recognized for its long-standing commitment to promoting sustainable development within local communities, along with its newly-launched initiatives including the largest high school level programming contest in Bangladesh in partnership with Prothom Alo, Post-flood community rehabilitation programme, Vision for Coastal People (an eye-health intervention for hard-to-reach communities), School greening project (environmental awareness campaign for schools), and Vision to Dream (a nationally televised docu-drama series on vision impairment), said a press release.
Commenting on the recognition, Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bangladesh said, “I feel proud that Standard Chartered, as one of the oldest foreign financial institutions of the country, is able to work with grass-root communities across Bangladesh.
