Standard Chartered Bangladesh has recently been appointed Sabbir Ahmed as the head of retail banking. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was the country head of retail banking and wealth management in HSBC Vietnam.
In his career spanning over 22 years, Sabbir Ahmed has acquired extensive experience within the banking industry in Retail, Priority, SME and Branch Banking as well as Wealth Management and Channel Management, said a press release.
Sabbir had earlier been with Standard Chartered Bangladesh for 16 years (from 1997 to 2014), where his key achievements include significant expansion of Standard Chartered’s distribution network.
Sabbir completed his Master’s in Business Administration degree from the Institute of Business Administration of University of Dhaka.
