UNB, Laxmipur :
A mobile court here on Friday night sentenced a man to one year imprisonment for stalking a schoolgirl in Char Martin area in Kamalnagar upazila.
The convict is Sumon , son of Yusuf of Char Martin area.
Victim’s family members said Sumon used to stalk a class-VII student of Munshirhat High School.
Local people caught Sumon red handed when he was stalking the girl on her way home from tuition in the afternoon Sumon and handed him over to police.
Later, he was produced before a mobile court led by Md Azgar Ali, executive magistrate and also Ramgati upazila nirbahi officer (UNO), who awarded Sumon the jail term.
