All of the twelve employees of girls section at Barisal government orphanage have been transferred to few yards far adjacent boys section of the orphanage as ‘punishment’ for torturing orphan girls.
Manoj Kumar Gharami, deputy director social welfare directorate Barisal office disclosed this fact.
He said 4 Khalamma (fourth class female staffs), 4 MLSS (fourth class male staffs) and four female assistant teachers of the Sarkari Shishu Poribar (Uttar) for girls have been released on Tuesday and joined at Sarkari Shishu Poribar (Dakkhin) for boys on Wednesday.
The action was taken for their involvement in torturing orphan girls and negligence in duties revealed in report of the probe committee formed about torturing orphan girls at the orphanage proved, the SW official explained.
