Staff Reporter :The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published today (Saturday).Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with the 10 board chairmen will hand over the results to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at about 10am.Later, the minister will formally announce the results in a press conference at his ministry at about 1pm.The examinations, which began on February 6 amid a violent BNP-sponsored blockade, ended on April 3.A total of 14,79,256 students from 27,808 institutions across the country under the 10 educational boards appeared in the examinations held at 3,116 examination centres.Of the total, 7,63,339 were male students and 715,927 female students.Some 11,10,339 students represented the General Education Boards, 256,380 the Madrasa Board and 110,295 the Technical Education Board.The number of overseas centers was eight for 297 students. The education boards will e-mail the results to all the educational institutions. The results will also be available on http:/www.educationboardresults.gov.bdCandidates can also get their results by sending SMS to 16222 with the text ‘SSC’ followed by a space and the first three letters of their education board, another space, then the roll number, followed by space again, and then ‘2015’.
