SSC exams held amid tight security

The SSC and equivalent examinations began on Friday in Sylhet and its adjacent area amid tight security as the indefinite blockade called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance continues.
A large number of Border Guard (BGB) has been deployed in each centre to ensure security of the examinees, Board sources said.
 The SSC examinees sat for the Bengali 1st paper, while Dakhil students sat for Quran Mazid and Tazbid papers and the students of the technical education board Bengali-2 examinations in two shifts.
A total of 72,210 students are taking part in the examinations. Board sources said the examination, which deferred twice in the last five days due to fear of violence, finally started at 9 am on Friday. Earlier, SEB have completed almost all preparations to hold the public examination in a free and fair manner. A total of 55 vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates have visited different examination centers to check any sort of unfair means or irregularities.
Staff Reporter, Kishoreganj says: The S.S.C and equivalent Examinations began on Friday in Kishoreganj and adjacent upazilas amid tight security as indefinite blockade called by the BNP-Jamaat led 20 party alliance has been continuing .
The first day examination was held peacefully in the town as else where of the district .
A large number of Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB), RAB and armed police have been deployed in each centre to ensure security of the examinees, Police Super said at least 3005 students are taking part in the S.S.C exams of Kishoreganj Sadar.
Deputy Commissioner S.M. Alam said, the examination was held in peaceful copying-free environment
BSS from Rajshahi reports : The SSC and equivalent examinations began today in Rajshahi and its adjacent districts amid tight security as the indefinite blockade called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance continues.
A large number of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed in each centres to ensure security of the examinees, Board sources said. Today, the SSC examinees sat for the Bengali 1st paper, while Dakhil students sat for Quran Mazid and Tazbid papers and the students of the technical education board Bengali-2 examinations in two shifts. A total of 1,28,199 students including 61,282 girls are appearing at the SSC examinations under Rajshahi Education Board this year.
BSS from Faridpur adds: The rescheduled first day Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination under Dhaka Education Board and Dakhil Examination under Madarsha Board were held peacefully across the district today.
DC of Faridpur Sardar Sharafat Ali told BSS over cellphone after visiting a number of examination centres that everywhere the all important examination both for the students and the guardians held peacefully amid tight security arrangements in and around the centres. However, there was no threat of disturbance in holding the examination, he said.
 The DC further said that responsible district level officers and members of law enforcing agencies were posted around the examination centres to ensure security and safety for all concerned. Arrangements of mobile vigilance teams were also made along with security personnel.
