The examinations of Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent curriculum begins in the port city of Chittagong as elsewhere in the district as well as across the country.
Examination of Bangla first paper held yesterday. According to Chittagong EducationBoard, total of 92 thousand 91 students from 965 schools under Chittagong Board appeared the exams which is 5,568 students more than last year.
Board sources said the students consists of 24,462 in city, 88,962 in Chittagong district upazila areas, 11,550 in Coxsbazar, 189 in Khagrachari and 963 in Bandarban.
The exam centres also increased by 7 centres than last year.
Examinations are being held in 159 centres including 30 in city, 99 in upazila areas of Ctg, 19 in Coxsbazar, 15 in Rangamati, 16 Khagrachari and 10 in Bandarban.
67 vigilance teams deployed in these centres to monitor the exams, Board sources said.
