An SSC examinee was stabbed by BCL men over a previous grudge in Bolaka Decorators area under 2nd bridge in Sadar Upazila of Habiganj district on Friday.
The victim was identified as Pranto Chowdhury, 13, son of Shiru Chowdhury and he was admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
He is a student of Habiganj High School & College. Doctors stated his condition as critical.
He is SSC examinee and lives in Anantapur area under Habiganj Municipal area.
Source said, Mohan Miah, join-convener of 8no wards BCL in Habiganj municipal altercation with BCL men Mijan Miah long feud. Police said four to five BCL men of Mohan Miah’s groups attacked Pranto when he beck from town in Bolaka Decorators area under 2nd bridge area in Sadar Upazila of Habiganj district on Friday 6pm. They stabbed him seriously. The accused BCL men-Torun Miah,23, Muhon Miah,19, Kibria,25, Saydul,22, Mamun,16, and Aziz,20,–all living in the neighboring 2no bridge area. Victim’s father Shiru Chowdhury said, Mohan Miah groups thinks my son joined with Mijan groups and attacked BCL men on 4th February. But in this time my son was studding for SSC exam.
Mukidul Islam, general secretary of BCL in Habiganj district said its altercation actually personal enmity. It is not BCL matters. Nazim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Habiganj Sadar Police confirmed the matter. He said, it is mainly previous enmity. Police deployed in the area.
