The SSC and its equivalent examinations begins in the port city at 179 centres from yesterday.
Under Chittagong Education Board, a total of 1,35,221 students from 1023 school and Madrasas participated in the examination. It is learnt that a total 50 vigilance teams constituted for witnessing the exam centres including 10 special teams. Out of total students, 62,737 are male and 72,484 female candidates, sources said.
