Sri Lanka take on Maldives in must win match today

Sri Lanka will take on the Maldives in their must win group second and final match of the SAFF Suzuki Cup scheduled to be held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
The match kicks off at 7 pm. The Islanders must have to win if they want to stay in the tournament and advance into the semifinal. Sri Lanka lost their Group A opener against India by 2-0 goals while a win will barge The Maldives to the next round.
However, Sri Lanka Coach Nizam Packeer Ali hopeful with his team’s better performance in their next match against the Maldives. He said they would not repeat those mistakes in their next match that they did against India.
Ali said Sri Lankan football is slowly improving side and he believes that his team would able to show good football in their final group match against The Maldives.
On the other hand, the Maldives is a balanced side with a combination of senior and young players who have ability to show their ability in the tournament.
The Maldives head coach termed his side a balance one and hoped his boys have come here to play good football and would give their best effort against Sri Lanka to go into the next round.
