Railway Sramik League staged demonstration protesting the attack by railway police on railway workers .
About hundred rail workers staged demonstration in East zone headquarters premises in city on Sunday. After end of demonstration, a memorandum led by RSL leader Sirajul Islam handed over to East Zone General Manager Md. Abdul Hai .
After receiving the memorandum, General Manager assured them for proper investigation over the matter and disciplinary actions against the concerned , sources said. While contacted, a railway sources said memorandum given demanding trial of concerned rail police for injuring the rail employee Md. Farhad Rony.
Sources said Farhad , an A/C operator of the chitagong bound intercity train Turna Nishita was beaten by rail polilce on Thursday night over the altercation of seating an ticketless passenger in prayer room .
East Zone sources said a four-member probe committee in connection has been formed in the meantime.
