Barguna Police OC Pulok Chandra Roy said police found the body of Khandker Mizanur Rahman Babu on a road in Pallabi area on Friday around 9am.”A jacket was wrapped around his throat. The body bore no injuries. He might have been strangled,” he said.Mizanur Rahman’s brother-in-law MaksudAhmed Bayejid Panna said Mizan was the vice-president of Patuakhali district Sramik Dal, the worker front of the BNP. A contractor by profession, Mizan, 40, was living in Patuakhali’s Arambagh area. His sister Saleha Akter Koli said he had gone missing on Thursday evening.Relatives rushed to Barguna on being informed of the recovery of his body. OC Roy said a general diary has been recorded.
